More updating! Even though this is my "Dream" office, I would feel guilty having more than a few of these >.> and by few I mean like 10 or 20, ha! Of course I'm kidding.
Thanks! Actually I started with a small bit of geometry, deleted a face or two, shaped the hole and added edge loops for definition, then duplicated a few rows (or column) of that, performed poly combine and merge vert operations, then extruded again for thickness.
I really like the look of these Server Racks. I am started my own business and I did not want an ugly server rack in the back of my nice store. I think I am going to make it a DIY project so it'll look nicer. Thanks for the inspiration!
excellent! were all of the holes created with booleans??

ReplyDeleteWhat about the lighting setup?
could you please release your secret knowledge?
Nothing really secret about it, I'm using a linear workflow, a warm and a cool area light, a white matte mia_mat and some AO and FG.
ReplyDeleteThanks gen. Great to know your foot step. that is great detail that you share with us. Thanks again
ReplyDeleteThis server rack looks so cool! I like the blue one. Can you post more picture of it? Thanks for sharing.
